COURSE DESCRIPTION

In light of the many and most recent Church shootings, it is unfortunate, but we at Zion Security feel it necessary to offer a course designed specifically for Church Security Teams. It is a tragic necessity that a course like this has to be taught in any country especially in America, there are no safe havens anymore.

NOTE: This course is for Church Security Teams, not individuals

2.  A quality holster that fits the make & model of your pistol.  (mandatory)  No
      shoulder holsters, cross draw holsters or small of back holsters allowed on the
      range.  Only strong side belt holsters will be allowed on the range.

TACTICAL I PISTOL COURSE

 COURSE DESCRIPTION

 

This course teaches basic handgun safety, the shooting fundamentals, loading and unloading, how to clear malfunctions, the difference between cover and concealment, tactical and speed reloads, and much more.  This course will teach and give you the foundation needed for you to build upon for all your future shooting.  This course is a must for all shooters; beginner to advanced.  This course will teach and reinforce the fundamentals of practical, defensive shooting. A certificate of training will be awarded to all participates who successfully complete this course. Also a “TOP GUN” plaque will be awarded to the top shooter in this course.

 

This course is a prerequisite for all of Zion Security Pistol  courses, regardless of your skills or training.

TACTICAL 2 PISTOL COURSE

 COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is designed to make practical application of the fundamental skills taught in the Tactical  1  handgun course. By the end of this course, you should be able to: shoot in various positions, shoot from cover, shoot on the move, shoot single and multiple shots on single and multiple targets, shoot one handed and weak handed and much more. This course is high speed, no drag. This is a course that teaches a lot, while you're having a great  time. This course will definitely take your shooting skills to the next level. A certificate of training will be given to all participants who successfully complete this course. Also a “TOP GUN” plaque will be awarded to the top shooter in this course.

TACTICAL 3 HANDGUN

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course will definitely take your shooting skills to the next level. Along with the skills taught in Tac. 1 & 2 you will also learn how to: fight in Close Quarter Battle, (C.Q.B.), casualty arm reloads and malfunction clearing (strong hand only), pivots and turns, V.I.P. protection drills, fighting and exiting from a disabled vehicle, long range shooting (out to 50 yards), and much more. The Tac 3 shooters are held to a higher standard of training. We expect more out of you as far as your safety and accuracy are concerned. This course is not for the novice or faint of heart. A certificate of training will be given to all participates who successfully complete this course. Also a “TOP GUN” plaque will be awarded to the top shooter of this course.

 

 PREREQUISITES: TACTICAL 1 & 2 HANDGUN COURSE

TACTICAL 4 PISTOL COURSE

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is designed to compliment Tactical III, by picking up where we left off. We will add a more challenging level of difficulty: Advanced exiting and fighting from a disabled vehicle, weak hand reloads, weak hand stoppage drills, advanced C.Q.B. advanced VIP protection drills and much more. The shooting times for this course will be much quicker in order to qualify for passing ! Again like Tac. 3 this course is not for the novice or faint of heart. A certificate of training will be given to all participants who successfully complete this course. Also a “TOP GUN” plaque will be awarded to the top shooter in this course.

 

 PREREQUISITES: TACTICAL 1, 2 & 3  HANDGUN COURSES

LOW LIGHT/NIGHT SHOOTING COURSE

 COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is designed to teach the student how to utilize a flashlight in low light or total dark conditions. The student will also be taught, "night sights vs flashlights", how to reload and clear malfunctions in total darkness, "painting", silhouetting, and basic anatomy of the human eye. Also a “TOP GUN” plaque will be awarded to the top shooter in this course.

CONCEALED CARRY COURSE

 COURSE DESCRIPTION

The Zion Security Conceal Weapons course is designed to meet the requirements set forth by the State of Missouri to  carry concealed firearms.  The students will learn basic handgun safety in the classroom, at home, on the firing range and while carrying the firearm.  The student will also be taught the fundamentals of marksmanship, the care and cleaning of concealable firearms, the requirements for obtaining a concealed carry endorsement, the laws relating to justifiable use of force, and the laws relating to firearms.  In addition, the student will also shoot and qualify with both a revolver and semi-auto pistol.

 

 

EQUIPMENT  NEEDED:

  1.   Semi-auto pistol and revolver

  2.   A quality holster that fits the make & model of each handgun. No

        shoulder holsters, cross draw holsters or small of the back holsters            

        allowed on range. Only strong side belt holsters  will be          

        allowed on the range.

  3.    A quality magazine pouch.

  4.    A good strong belt.

  5.    Two magazines and/or speed loaders.

  6.    Ear muffs (not just ear plugs).

  7.    Eye protection, safety glasses, sun glasses, prescription glasses.

  8.    Sack lunch and water

  9     100 rds. of ammo for primary weapon

  10.  50 rds. of ammo for secondary weapon

  11.  A good attitude.

NOTE: It is required by law that each person qualify with both semi-auto & revolver. You will need to bring both if you have access. If you do not have both then bring your primary gun and 100 rds. of ammo and we will provide a secondary gun for you at no extra cost, but you will have to provide the ammo, for revolver bring 50 rds. of 38 special for semi-auto 50 rds. of 9mm.
