Instructor Biography

McLaughlin was brought up in Central Baptist Church, Baton Rouge La. an Independent Fundamental Baptist Church.
McLaughlin was saved around the age of 7 years old.
McLaughlin’s family moved to Koshkonong, Missouri in1975. Where he then became a member of South Hill Baptist Temple. Pastor Thomas Farrier.
He was called to preach May 5, 1980 while listening to a tape of Dr. Jack Hyles "One Nation Under God".
McLaughlin graduated with a BS in Pastoral Theology from Hyles-Anderson College in 1984
He worked as an Assistant Pastor and Youth Director for the late William E. Conkey at Central Calvary Baptist Church in West Plains, Mo. from October 1984 – November 1986.
He worked as the Youth Director for Pastor Keith Gomez at the Northwest Bible Baptist Church from December 1986 – April 1988.
He worked on staff for Dr. Tom Williams at the Circle B Ranch in Koshkonong Mo. from May 1988 – November 1990. Joined Central Calvary Baptist Church, Pastor Frank Mulford and has been a member until present.
McLaughlin became interested in Law Enforcement while working at the Circle B Ranch in Koshkonong, Mo. In 1988 McLaughlin was commissioned as an Officer for the Oregon Co. Sheriffs Department with full powers of arrest. McLaughlin attended several Law Enforcement Academies and numerous other Law Enforcement schools during his Law Enforcement career.
He Managed the Oak Ridge Christian Ranch from 1990 – 1999
In 2007 McLaughlin founded the Black Ops School of Combat under the McLaughlin & Sons LLC. This School is designed to teach Law Enforcement, Civilians and Military personal how to shoot and shoot well. Black Ops School of Combat is a not a militia, not a para- military organization, or anti government. We are proud patriotic Americans who believe in our 2^nd Amendment rights. In light of the recent Church Shootings, we felt it necessary to open up a sister company called "Zion Security" a school specifically designed to help Churches form, build and train Security Teams to help protect their Pastors and congregations.
In light of the many church shootings around the nation, in 2008, McLaughlin was asked by his Pastor, to form a Church Security Team and to train them. McLaughlin now remains on as an advisor for the Team.

McLaughlin was one of the first persons to develop a program that instructs Churches how to form, build and train a Church Security Team. McLaughlin’s experience in Church work and love for the ministry, along with his background in Law Enforcement gives him a unique perspective and insights on how to prepare churches for the worst possible scenario. Having worked for two Churches, McLaughlin understands the mindset of the Pastor and the liabilities he faces.

McLaughlin has taught and trained for over two decades from coast to coast and internationally both in mixed martial arts and firearms. McLaughlin spent fourteen years as a Deputy for the Oregon County Sheriff's Department in the State of Missouri. For seven of those years he was the Firearms Instructor for the department.

　McLaughlin has trained almost fanatically for the past twenty one years under full time instructors as well as on his own. He is either presently or has been certified as an instructor in the following areas:

McLaughlin has trained extensively with firearms. He has trained in many schools across America, such as: Smith & Wesson and Blackwater U.S.A. just to name a couple. His training ranges from pistols, rifles shotguns, Tactical Room Entry, Building Searches, Executive Protection, Defense Tactics, Rappelling, K-9, Scuba Diving and Sky Diving.

The Philippine Military Academy (P.M.A.) Range, Bagiuo City, Philippines, May 2003. (P.M.A. is the Filipino equivalent to the West Point Academy in the United States.)

The Defense Intelligence Security Group Range (D.I.S.G.) Manila, Philippines, May 2003. (This Range is for training the Security Detail for the Filipino Secretary of National Defense.　 This is equivalent to the Secret Service in the United States.)

McLaughlin won the High Shooter Award - L.E.T.I. University of Missouri-Columbia Basic Law Enforcement Academy 120 hours, 1990

McLaughlin was honored by the Armed Forces of the Philippines. Certificate of Appreciation - Armed Forces of the Philippines Officers Village Association Inc. 2002.

　McLaughlin has accomplished several personal goals, one of which is to draw and fire from a tactical holster three rds. and hit center of mass at 7yds. under one second.

On more than one occasion McLaughlin has been witnessed shooting his pistol out to 250 yds. and hitting a man size silhouette. He has also been witnessed on many occasions shooting three targets two rds. each under a one second time frame from the first shot to the last shot. 　His unique style of teaching firearms makes it enjoyable as well as educational.
